Hi, they told me that you can’t use a piece of paper instead of a whiteboard. I mean yea it’s was a mistake to rely on a old video, but I can say that I probably lost a chance to get in a university that I want.

This video was extremely helpful. Im just about to do my first Toefl prep and I knew i needed to teach the structure and format of the test, staregies and tips, practice questions and practice tests, plus any vocab and grammar he will need, but Ive been really cinfused avout what that vocab should be and how i do both. I hope there are many more videos on this now. Thank you.

我只有一个月的时间准备考试，自己做词卡也来不及了。想下载一些APP找一些现成的词汇，发现很多APP都是收费的。 单词也每天只能看几个。找了好久才发现了一个免费的应用。qdictation这个苹果APP里面有需要的单词。应用是免费的,也没有广告。用这个APP可以跟着自考无数遍，也不用再自己写在本子上记录了。

And also (while im already venting lol),why in the world do companies charge so much to evaluate courses I did in my Business Administration school??I could have an Associates but unfortunately,having that translated and a stamp from a notarized business from Germany isnt enough,nope...it HAVES to be evaluated here in the states again,and it needs to be done from certain companies,so that these "stamps of approve" are recognized and accepted for college credit transfers....this is just ridiculous! My education is from Germany,(btw im half India and half german). 300$ per course is what they want here,there are 20 courses....now do the math.... I found accredited colleges where I can get an associates for half of that price. But for the people who dont have that option,its just frustrating! And its sad I have to go to these lengths and start all over again,cause its just to expensive to spend double that money for a degree you already have. And then I found out I have to do an english proficiency test BEFORE I get accepted into College,and have to dig in my pockets AGAIN...Lol

While I understand why these tests are necessary,I just dont get why they charge so much....im preparing to go college next year,I lived in the states for 9 years and married to an American since 2009...college itself isnt cheap as it is and then asking again to do these tests and charge so much seems ridiculous to me....fortunately my college also accepts the Duolingo test version,which is a lot cheaper and as far as i know also just takes an hour. So my suggestion for everyone sitting in the same boat like me,give it a shot with Duolingo if your college accepts it.

I take the test in a couple of hours and I'm worried I never received an email from Proctor U. Is this normal? I don't know the password to the Proctor U account. Help!

I was born and raised in the US, 27 years I took this test and got a 517... a B1 or B-2.. So guess that answers people question... I only recently took it and I only studied 2 days before the test.

/!\ DO NOT TAKE THE TOEFL TEST AT HOME - when it was time for me to start the test, an error message displayed saying that "the test was deleted for security reasons". The TOEFL support center will not answer or help you with the problem. They will not refund you or reschedule your test. You can check on different forums such as reddit, many users have experienced this scam.
